New four classroom modular building for Ringwood School
Modulek have recently completed a four classroom modular building for Ringwood School, an 11-18 academy in Hampshire.
The school required a classroom building to replace existing temporary buildings for their philosophy and ethics department.
As a result of a competitive tender, the building, designed, delivered, installed and finished by Modulek consists of four light bright and airy classrooms. Each classroom has a distinctive feature wall, the colours of which were chosen by the pupils themselves. The building is completed with modern toilet facilities and a large office and staff room. The exterior is a mixture of timber and render with Brise soleil solar shading to the east elevation. A stylish canopy offers shelter over the main entrance and completes the modern look and feel of the building.
Installed at the end of October, the building was completed in early February and the students’ commenced lessons straight after the February half term break.
The school are thrilled with their new building, the Facilities Manager commented.
“We required a building to replace rapidly aging temporary accommodation which had been on site for over 25 years. Through a competitive tender and on a very tight timescale, Modulek provided a building which exceeded all expectations. From initial design to handover, the project ran seamlessly with no request becoming a problem; even those last minute changes which are always inevitable! An incredibly modern and thoroughly efficient building provided by a focussed, well presented and polite workforce, well versed in understanding the demanding needs of the Education sector.”
