Modulek were invited to tender on a full design and build basis, given just a 30mx20m space to work with, and an outline brief of the clients requirements, which was basically an expanded replacement of their existing head office in Marden, Kent.
Modulek designed a layout bespoke to suit the clients operational needs, with the many departments of the head office, incorporated into one building with a space layout that enables the organization to operate more efficiently than ever, enabling an improved and expanded service to be offered to patients benefiting from this life saving charity funded organization.
Assistance was provided from the initial planning and design stage right through to completion providing full client support throughout the stages from concept to completion.
The building truly demonstrates Modulek’s quality and bespoke design capabilities, with internal and external finishing, giving a look and feel to the building, that nobody would think was modular construction.
Modulek’s full steel space frame design gives the building a 60 year design life, which incorporated with key design features such as Kingspan cladding, traditional brick facade, decorated, jointless, smooth walls internally, and expansive smart screen walling systems, creating a working environment, that will inspire the trust’s voluntary workers, to push ever further forward to take this vital service to the next level.
