Hamble Marina required eight separate retail units, to be installed at the heart of a busy thriving marina, that was looking to grow and expand, along with attracting new clientele to this beautiful location.

Modulek were commissioned by Marina Developments Limited to design, construct and install eight units. By utilising the very latest off-site construction techniques, the new buildings were installed and delivered on-time, to the marina, during the busy summer season.  All of the new units were built in our factory, where quality control was of utmost importance, resulting in buildings that could be delivered quickly, on-budget whilst not compromising on quality.

Being based by the sea, it was important that the nautical theme was the centre of our design, and therefore the new buildings have got large expansive glazing to the front and sides of each sales unit, creating an outdoor feel to each unit.

The external envelope consisting of Thermowood Cladding and Aluminium Glazed Screens created a maintenance free façade essential for a marine and coastal environment. The rear exit door to each unit provided access to a raised viewing platform, enabling easy access and viewing of the boats for sale. The fully air conditioned, open plan sales floor was complimented by a separate individual office for privacy when required. A modern kitchen and bathroom facility were provided for each sales unit, creating the ultimate working conditions for all the sales staff.

The retail units blend in beautifully with their coastal environment, and coupled with the yacht spinnakers in the background, they look stunning.

The new retail buildings are truly state-of-the-art bespoke buildings, that were delivered on budget and on-time, without disrupting core services. It is with no doubt that these buildings will last for many generations!
